Concord Biotech Q1 FY27 PAT jumps 31% to Rs. 57.7 crore

Consolidated revenue from operations grows to Rs. 257.5 crore, driven by strong business momentum and improved profitability


Concord Biotech Limited reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rising 31% year-on-year on the back of robust revenue growth and improved operating performance.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the company posted revenue from operations of Rs. 257.49 crore, registering a 26.2% increase from Rs. 203.99 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

Total consolidated income rose to Rs. 270.31 crore, compared with Rs. 217.67 crore in Q1 FY26.

Profit before tax (PBT) increased 33.4% year-on-year to Rs. 78.34 crore, including Rs. 1.28 crore as the company's share of profit from a joint venture. This compares with Rs. 58.73 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.

The company's net profit after tax stood at Rs. 57.70 crore, up from Rs. 44.06 crore in Q1 FY26. Profit attributable to the owners of the company was Rs. 58.53 crore, while the non-controlling interest recorded a loss of Rs. 0.83 crore.

Total consolidated expenses for the quarter rose to Rs. 193.25 crore from Rs. 160.43 crore a year earlier. Raw material consumption increased to Rs. 69.85 crore, while employee benefit expenses stood at Rs. 43.64 crore and power and fuel costs rose to Rs. 34.72 crore. Other expenses amounted to Rs. 42.46 crore, reflecting higher business activity.

The company reported other comprehensive income of Rs. 17.06 crore, largely driven by gains in the fair value of equity investments, taking total comprehensive income for the quarter to Rs. 74.76 crore.

Basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) improved to Rs. 5.52 for the quarter, compared with Rs. 4.21 in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

Concord Biotech's paid-up equity share capital remained unchanged at Rs. 10.46 crore, while other equity stood at Rs. 2,006.60 crore as of March 31, 2026.

Following the announcement of the quarterly results, the company's shares gained on the BSE. The stock was last trading at Rs. 1,420.30, up from the previous close of Rs. 1,333.20, after touching an intraday high of Rs. 1,428.95. During the session, over 40,000 shares changed hands in more than 3,100 trades.
