US-based Mylan Inc. divests entire holding of 9.19 million shares in Biocon
Mylan Inc. has exited Biocon Limited after selling its entire 5.64% stake through an open market transaction, according to a regulatory disclosure filed under the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeovers) Regulations, 2011.
The transaction, completed on July 14, 2026, involved the sale of 91,967,019 equity shares, representing 5.64% of Biocon's total shareholding and voting capital.
Following the transaction, Mylan no longer holds any equity stake in the Bengaluru-based biopharmaceutical company.
The disclosure stated that the sale was executed through the open market and that Mylan was not part of Biocon's promoter or promoter group.
Biocon's equity share capital comprises 1,62,96,94,135 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 5 each, while its fully diluted share capital stands at 1,63,16,52,920 equity shares.
The divestment marks Mylan's complete exit from Biocon's shareholding structure.
