Biocon renames Irish step-down subsidiary as Biocon Biologics Ireland

Move aligns global biologics identity under the Biocon Biologics brand

Biocon has informed stock exchanges that its step-down subsidiary in Ireland, Biosimilar Collaborations Ireland Limited, has been renamed Biocon Biologics Ireland Limited, effective March 27, 2026. 

The company said it received the update from Biocon Biologics Limited, one of its material subsidiaries, on March 29, 2026, and subsequently disclosed it to the exchanges under regulatory compliance requirements. 

The renaming reflects Biocon’s continued efforts to streamline and strengthen the global identity of its biologics business under the Biocon Biologics brand, particularly across key international markets including Europe. 

While the filing does not indicate any change in operations or ownership structure, the move is part of the company’s broader strategy to create a more unified corporate architecture for its biosimilars and biologics business.

The disclosure was signed by Rajesh U. Shanoy, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, and the company said the information has also been made available on its official website.
