Thyrocare launches its Regional Processing Lab in Nagpur on World Thyroid Day

The new advanced regional processing lab will serve Nagpur city and the Vidarbha region

Thyrocare, a leading healthcare service provider in the diagnostic segment, today launched its first Regional Processing Lab (RPL) in the ‘Orange City’ of Nagpur which is their 17th lab in India on the occasion of World Thyroid Day. Located centrally at Mytri Willows, Sir Bezonji Mehta Road, Nagpur, the RPL with its 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and an automated effluent treatment plant for the safe disposal of biomedical wastes will bring best in class processing for a wide variety of tests. The RPL will serve Nagpur and the surrounding areas in the Vidarbha region.

The Regional Processing Lab (RPL) was inaugurated by Dr Ajay V. Kaduskar, Director & Consulting Cardio Diabetologist, Niramay Diabetes & Heart Care Centre, Nagpur. Also present on the occasion was Sachin Salvi, CFO, Thyrocare Technologies

Sachin Salvi, CFO, Thyrocare Technologies said, “The launch of this new Regional Processing Lab in Nagpur is another milestone in our endeavour to provide global quality standards in diagnostic testing with speed and accuracy at cost-effective prices to laboratories and hospitals across the country. The new lab will provide a comprehensive range of diagnostics services to patients, doctors and hospitals in Nagpur and the Vidarbha region. The new RPL will augment our existing network of a Centralised Processing Laboratory in Navi Mumbai for complex tests, three Zonal Processing Laboratories in Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata for advanced tests and 16 Regional Processing Laboratories pan India, for other routine tests.”

The new RPL at Nagpur is equipped to conduct and process a wide variety of tests with automated technologies such as Photometry, Hematology, Immunoassay and HPLC along with manual Urology and ELISA. The lab with an area of 3400 sq feet has advanced 24/7 unidirectional sample processing systems and automatic treatment plants with a capacity of processing 3000 samples in a day.
