Collaboration with Siddhi Diagnostics combines genomics and advanced imaging capabilities to strengthen precision diagnostics in high-growth suburban markets
MedGenome, a genomics-driven diagnostics and research services company, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre (SDRC), a diagnostic imaging provider with a strong footprint across Mumbai’s extended western suburbs.
The partnership marks an important step in expanding MedGenome’s regional presence while improving access to integrated diagnostics that combine advanced imaging with genomics-based insights across suburban healthcare markets.
Established in 1995, SDRC is led by Ajit Pungavkar, Founder, SDRC, and Sona Pungavkar, Co-founder and Medical Director, SDRC.
Over the last three decades, SDRC has built a strong reputation in diagnostic imaging, offering services including MRI, CT scans, X-ray, sonography, mammography, cardiac investigations, interventions, HSG, OPG and BMD studies.
The network currently operates five centres across Nalasopara, Vasai, Virar and Thane, supported by advanced infrastructure that includes four MRI and five CT systems. Its extensive reach across the Naigaon–Palghar and Thane belt has enabled the company to serve a large network of hospitals, clinicians and patients in regions where advanced diagnostic infrastructure has traditionally remained limited.
Surajit Chakrabartty, Chief Financial Officer, MedGenome, said, "This reiterates MedGenome’s commitment to offering affordable early and accurate diagnostics and building an integrated diagnostics ecosystem in India. By bringing together MedGenome’s strengths in genomics with SDRC’s established imaging capabilities, we can move closer to delivering a more complete view of a disease — combining structural and molecular insights to support earlier and more precise clinical decisions."
Ajit Pungavkar, Founder, Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre, said, "In clinical practice, we often see cases where imaging alone does not provide the full picture, especially in complex or early-stage conditions. Through this partnership with MedGenome, we are now able to complement imaging findings with deeper molecular insights, which can significantly improve how clinicians interpret and act on diagnostic information."
Sona Pungavkar, Co-founder and Medical Director, Siddhi Diagnostics & Research Centre, emphasized the growing role of integrated diagnostics and AI in modern healthcare.
