Metropolis Healthcare posts Rs. 450.2 crore as Q1 FY27 revenue at 17% YoY growth

Metropolis Healthcare Ltd. reported a strong start to FY27, posting a 16.6% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to Rs. 450.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. 

The diagnostics chain recorded 27.1% growth in EBITDA to Rs. 113.2 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) rose 25.8% to Rs. 56.9 crore, supported by healthy patient volumes, an improved test mix and continued operational efficiencies.

The company's EBITDA margin expanded 210 basis points to 25.2%, while PAT margin improved 90 basis points to 12.6%, reflecting the scalability of its operating model.

Operationally, Metropolis recorded 10% growth in patient volumes and 11% growth in test volumes, driven by sustained demand, deeper market penetration and an increasing preference among patients for organised diagnostic service providers.

The company's B2C business grew 18% year-on-year, supported by strong brand equity, targeted micro-marketing initiatives and expanding digital engagement. The B2B segment grew 15%, aided by an expanding network of clinicians and institutional customers.

Metropolis also witnessed strong traction in its high-value diagnostic offerings. Revenue from TruHealth increased 22% to Rs. 81 crore, contributing 18% of overall revenue, while Specialty Diagnostics grew 17% to Rs. 178 crore, accounting for 40% of revenue. Premium TruHealth packages registered growth of over 50%, while radiology-integrated wellness packages expanded by more than 40% during the quarter.

The company reported a 6% increase in Revenue per Patient (RPP) and a 5% rise in Revenue per Test (RPT), driven by a richer mix of specialised tests. Geographically, Tier III cities emerged as the fastest-growing markets, registering around 25% revenue growth, compared with 11% growth in Tier I and 14% in Tier II cities, highlighting the growing demand for quality diagnostics beyond metropolitan centres.

Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, said the company's investments in scientific innovation, acquisitions and network expansion have strengthened its market position, particularly in North India, while broadening its differentiated diagnostics portfolio. Shah noted that the company delivered 17% revenue growth without any price increase, reflecting the trust placed in the Metropolis brand by patients and clinicians.

Surendran Chemmenkotil, Managing Director, said the strong beginning to FY27 reflects disciplined execution and the resilience of the company's business model. He added that sustained momentum in Specialty Diagnostics and TruHealth, coupled with margin expansion, positions Metropolis to continue delivering sustainable and profitable growth while enhancing operational productivity.
