The accepted studies span several critical areas of oncology, including nutrition, genomics, precision medicine, patient-reported outcomes, and community-based cancer care
M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre has announced that six of its research abstracts have been accepted for presentation at the prestigious ASCO Annual Meeting 2026, being held from May 29 to June 2, 2026.
The acceptance of six abstracts from M|O|C marks a significant achievement for Indian oncology research and underscores the growing contribution of real-world evidence generated from community cancer care networks.
These studies span several critical areas of oncology, including nutrition, genomics, precision medicine, patient-reported outcomes, and community-based cancer care.
One of the studies focuses on nutrition in cancer patients, highlighting how treatment-related side effects can affect nutritional intake, recovery, and overall outcomes. The research emphasizes the importance of structured nutritional monitoring as an essential component of comprehensive cancer treatment.
The remaining studies examine real-world outcomes in microsatellite instability-high (MSI-high) colon cancer and explore the role of comprehensive genomic profiling in guiding treatment decisions for colon cancer patients.
Additional research investigates the genomic landscape of DNA repair pathway alterations across solid tumors, evaluates the impact of structured care programs in community oncology practice, and assesses cancer-related distress using standardized tools in routine clinical care.
Dr. Vashishth Maniar, Co-founder and Director, M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre, said, "Acceptance of six abstracts at ASCO 2026 reflects the strength of our focus on real-world oncology data and precision-based cancer care. These studies originate from everyday clinical challenges faced by patients across India and highlight the importance of integrating diagnostics, nutrition, and multidisciplinary care in improving outcomes."
Dr. Ashish Joshi, Co-founder and Director, M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre said, “The acceptance of these abstracts at ASCO reflects our ongoing effort to contribute meaningful clinical insights from India to the global oncology community. Our focus remains on generating evidence that directly informs patient care, improves adherence, and enhances both survival and quality of life."
