Apollo Hospitals has launched ‘Always Open. Always Here.’, an initiative aimed at making routine and planned healthcare services available across all seven days of the week, including Sundays.

The initiative extends Apollo’s existing 24x7 emergency, critical care and inpatient services to include outpatient consultations, diagnostics, preventive health checks, follow-up consultations and scheduled procedures on Sundays, subject to hospital-specific schedules and service readiness.

Apollo said the move is designed to address time constraints that often prevent working professionals, caregivers and families from seeking timely healthcare.

Its Health of the Nation 2026 report, based on screenings of more than 2.5 million people across its healthcare ecosystem, highlighted the growing burden of undiagnosed chronic conditions. Nearly 26% of those screened were found to have hypertension and 23% diabetes despite being asymptomatic.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder & Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, said the initiative represents an extension of Apollo’s commitment to preventive and timely healthcare. “We have always been available for emergencies and critical care. We are now extending the same commitment to routine and preventive care across all seven days of the week,” he said.

Dr. Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals, said Sunday access could make healthcare more convenient for working professionals, caregivers and families managing multiple responsibilities.

Under the initiative, patients will be able to schedule specialist consultations, health checks, diagnostic tests, follow-ups and selected procedures on Sundays, allowing them to access care without necessarily taking weekday leave.

Apollo said the initiative will leverage its existing clinical infrastructure, doctors, diagnostic facilities, operating theatres and coordinated care teams to provide structured Sunday services.
