Leading Indian hospital chain Fortis Healthcare has launched four specialized clinics across its hospital network in Bengaluru, aiming to address sensitive health concerns that often go untreated due to stigma and lack of awareness.
The new facilities — Man Clinic, Incontinence Clinic, Restorative Gynaecology Clinic, and Mobile Lithotripsy Services — are designed to provide focused, patient-centric care through advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive treatments, and multidisciplinary expertise.
The clinics were officially inaugurated by Sharan Prakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Government of Karnataka, in the presence of nearly 150 attendees including senior doctors, hospital leadership, staff members, patients and other distinguished guests.
The Man Clinic will focus on men’s health issues such as sexual wellness, prostate health, infertility, hormonal imbalances and lifestyle-related conditions, with an emphasis on privacy and comprehensive treatment.
The Incontinence Clinic will offer specialized care for urinary and bowel incontinence across genders and age groups. By bringing together experts from urology, gynaecology and physiotherapy, the clinic will provide advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatment options to help patients regain confidence and improve their quality of life.
The Restorative Gynaecology Clinic is dedicated to women’s intimate health and functional concerns, offering evidence-based treatment and aesthetic gynaecological care through discreet clinical protocols.
Meanwhile, the Mobile Lithotripsy Service introduces a technologically advanced and minimally invasive approach for kidney stone treatment, enabling more precise procedures, shorter hospital stays and improved patient outcomes.
Speaking at the launch, Sharan Prakash said, “Healthcare must evolve not only in terms of technology but also in its ability to address sensitive and underdiscussed health concerns with dignity and openness.
"The launch of these specialized clinics by Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, is a progressive step towards breaking the stigma and encouraging our people to seek timely medical consultation without hesitation. Such initiatives play a crucial role in building awareness and strengthening access to advanced care for our citizens.”
Experts say conditions such as male sexual health disorders, incontinence and kidney stones are far more common than widely acknowledged but are often ignored due to social hesitation.
Mohan Keshavamurthy, Principal Director – Renal Sciences, Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, said, “Conditions such as male sexual health issues, incontinence and kidney stones are far more common than acknowledged, yet social hesitation often delays treatment.
"Through these specialized clinics, we aim to normalize conversations around these health concerns while offering advanced, minimally invasive solutions backed by our multidisciplinary expertise. Our goal is to deliver not just treatment, but restore confidence and improve quality of life for our patients.”
Hospital leadership said the initiative reflects Fortis’ broader push toward specialized, patient-focused care.
Ananth Rao, VP & Business Head, Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru, said, “Through the launch of these four clinics, Fortis continues to strengthen its leadership in specialized, patient-centric healthcare by combining advanced medical technology, multidisciplinary expertise and thoughtfully designed clinical pathways that prioritize patient privacy, comfort and dignity.”
