The initiative is designed to benefit patients as well as healthcare providers by streamlining access to consultations, diagnostics, and essential care services

Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, part of the Fortis Healthcare network, has launched the ‘HEAL Health Card’ as part of its broader HEAL Program (Healthcare Excellence through Access & Learning), aimed at improving access to affordable and quality healthcare.

The initiative brings together nursing home owners and doctors to strengthen clinical partnerships, promote continuous learning, and enhance patient outcomes through improved coordination and access to services.

Under the HEAL Health Card, patients can avail benefits such as quicker access to doctors, faster service delivery, and continued care support, including discounts on consultations and emergency services. The programme also offers health check-up packages, complimentary second opinions for select specialties, along with nutritional and mental health consultations to support overall well-being.

The initiative also focuses on strengthening clinical capabilities by providing structured training and access to super-specialty expertise from Fortis professionals. Key training areas include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS), infection prevention and control, biomedical waste management, hand hygiene practices, hazardous materials handling, ECG interpretation, crash cart training, stroke recognition and early management, and trauma first response.

According to Asik Das, Regional Sales and Marketing Head at Fortis Healthcare, the programme is aimed at making quality healthcare more accessible while equipping doctors and hospital teams with the support needed to deliver timely and effective care, ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing the burden of medical expenses.

Ravi Bagali, Chief Operating Officer at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru, noted that the HEAL Health Card is designed to simplify and organise access to healthcare services, making the overall patient experience more seamless and structured.
