The average revenue per occupied bed per day improved by 9.7% year-on-year to Rs. 47,200
Healthcare major Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Limited (KIMS Hospitals) announced a strong financial and operational performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by robust top-line revenue growth, expanded bed capacity, and rising patient footfalls across its multi-state network.
The hospital chain saw its total revenue surge 36.1% year-on-year to Rs. 1,195.9 crore in the first quarter, compared to Rs. 878.7 crore recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
On a sequential basis, total revenue increased 10.3% over the Rs. 1,084.3 crore reported in the preceding quarter. Operating revenue for the period stood at Rs. 1,179.5 crore, marking a 35.3% jump year-on-year.
Core operating earnings also demonstrated solid momentum, with EBITDA rising 20.1% year-on-year to Rs. 239.8 crore, delivering an EBITDA margin of 20.1%. Meanwhile, Profit After Tax for the quarter was reported at Rs. 37.4 crore, down from Rs. 85.0 crore in the year-ago quarter due to the statutory impact of updated regulations and option fair valuation adjustments.
Operational metrics across the group's network showed healthy growth. In-patient volumes climbed 26.6% year-on-year to reach 72,493 patients, while out-patient visits jumped 28.5% to 6,58,617.

To accommodate growing demand, KIMS expanded its operational footprint during the quarter by adding 787 beds at its Kondapur facility in Telangana and 208 beds at its Palakkad hospital in Kerala. This brought the group’s total bed capacity to 7,459 beds across 26 hospitals, with 5,639 beds currently operational.
Dr. B Bhaskara Rao, CMD, KIMS Hospitals, said: "Q1 FY 27 started on a robust note. We added a new hospital in Palakkad, Kerala. I am especially pleased with how our new units have been performing on clinical front. Some of them have done advanced procedures including Lung transplants. Our overall footfalls to both OP and IP have shown healthy uptrend which has also translated in a healthy topline."
