Lilavati Hospital is set to expand its international presence with the launch of a super-speciality outpatient department (OPD) facility in Kazakhstan from early September 2026.
The facility will become the hospital’s first healthcare centre outside India, marking a key step in its strategy to take its clinical expertise to international markets.
The Kazakhstan centre will provide patients across Central Asia with access to specialist consultations, second opinions, advanced treatment planning and medical expertise from Lilavati Hospital. Complex cases requiring advanced treatment or surgery will be connected with the hospital’s Mumbai facility.
The super-speciality OPD will offer services across oncology, liver and hepatobiliary care, kidney and transplantation, cardiac sciences, neurology and neurosurgery, IVF and reproductive medicine, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, urology, endocrinology and diabetes, paediatrics, and pulmonology.
With more than three decades of healthcare experience, Lilavati Hospital has around 375 consultants and specialists across more than 40 medical and surgical specialties. Its areas of expertise include transplantation, oncology, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, GI and hepatobiliary surgery, and IVF.
The hospital is also pursuing further international expansion, particularly across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and other markets, under the stewardship of Smt. Charuben Mehta, Founder, Permanent Trustee for Life and Chairperson, Lilavati Hospital.
Dr. Ravindra Karanjekar, CEO, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, said the Kazakhstan initiative represents an important step in taking Indian healthcare expertise to international patients.
According to Karanjekar, complex cases will have a structured pathway to access advanced care at Lilavati Hospital Mumbai, while Kazakhstan will serve as the first step towards establishing the hospital’s presence across the wider Central Asian region.
