The new institute will strengthen oncology infrastructure in central India with advanced radiation therapy, multidisciplinary expertise, and comprehensive cancer care services
Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals has unveiled its upcoming Ramkrishna CARE Cancer Institute during the inaugural ceremony of OncoSphere 2.0, the hospital’s flagship national oncology summit.
The event brought together more than 600 oncologists, cancer specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the country, underscoring the growing focus on advancing cancer care in India.
The unveiling marks a significant step toward strengthening oncology services across Chhattisgarh and the broader Central India region.
The dedicated Ramkrishna CARE Cancer Institute is scheduled to become operational in August 2026. It will be also installed with Versa HD Radiation Linac, one of the world’s most advanced radiation therapy systems.
The institute was formally unveiled by , in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Dave, Managing & Clinical Director, Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals; Mr. Haresh Trivedi, Regional CEO – West & Central India, CARE Hospitals; Dr. Ravi Jaiswal, Senior Medical Oncologist; Dr. Mou Roy, Senior Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Naveen Jain, Senior Surgical Oncologist; Dr. Gourav Gupta, Senior Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Neeru Kerketta, Senior Consultant – Nuclear Medicine; and leading oncology experts from across the country.
Shyam Bihari Jaiswal emphasized the importance of improving access to advanced cancer care, stating that strengthening oncology infrastructure is essential for enhancing patient outcomes and supporting families affected by cancer.
Dr. Sandeep Dave, Managing & Clinical Director of Ramkrishna CARE Hospitals, noted that the increasing cancer burden in Chhattisgarh and Central India necessitates greater access to comprehensive, technology-driven, and multidisciplinary cancer care.
