First installation of AI-powered AMULET SOPHINITY at NM Medical aims to strengthen early breast cancer detection
FUJIFILM India has announced the installation of its latest AI-powered digital mammography system, AMULET SOPHINITY, at NM Medical, one of the country's leading diagnostic healthcare providers.
The announcement was made during an installation event at NM Medical, which operates more than 22 centres and is supported by a multidisciplinary team of over 1,000 professionals with more than three decades of experience in diagnostic healthcare.
The installation marks the first deployment of the AMULET SOPHINITY platform in India and reinforces FUJIFILM India's commitment to strengthening preventive healthcare infrastructure and enabling earlier detection of breast cancer through advanced imaging technologies.
The launch comes at a critical time for India's healthcare ecosystem. According to estimates from the Indian Council of Medical Research's National Cancer Registry Programme, breast cancer is projected to remain the most common cancer among Indian women, with more than 2.32 lakh cases expected in 2025.
The system further integrates FUJIFILM's REiLI Medical AI technologies, including Intelligent AEC for optimized dose management based on breast composition, Positioning MAP for reproducible positioning support, and AI-driven Positioning Analysis tools that help technologists improve imaging quality and consistency over time.
