New Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue aim to enhance breast cancer detection and streamline clinical workflows
GE HealthCare has expanded its breast imaging portfolio with the launch of two new solutions—Invenia Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) Prime and ABUS StreamVue—designed to improve supplemental breast cancer screening for women with dense breasts and simplify imaging workflows across healthcare networks.
The company said Invenia ABUS Prime is intended to be used alongside mammography to support earlier detection of breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue.
Powered by GE HealthCare's graphics processing engine, the system incorporates artificial intelligence-based features, including Scan Quality Assessment and Auto Nipple Detection, to deliver consistent and reproducible image acquisition. It also integrates QVCAD technology to help radiologists reduce image interpretation time while improving lesion detection.
The second solution, ABUS StreamVue, is an enterprise imaging viewer designed to standardise automated breast ultrasound exam reviews. The platform enables remote image access and flexible licensing, making it easier for healthcare organisations to deploy and review ABUS examinations across multiple sites.
According to GE HealthCare, the combined solutions are designed to standardise 3D ultrasound image acquisition, enable remote reading capabilities, and simplify deployment across enterprise imaging environments, helping improve efficiency for both clinicians and healthcare providers.
