New-generation platform enhances anatomical visualization, streamlines surgical workflows, and expands access to advanced navigation technology for ENT surgeons across Europe
Medtronic has received CE mark approval for its Stealth AXiS surgical navigation system, enabling its use in ear, nose and throat (ENT) procedures across Europe.
The certification marks a significant milestone for the company’s ENT portfolio, expanding access to advanced surgical navigation technology designed to improve visualization and workflow efficiency during complex procedures.
The Stealth AXiS system is engineered to support surgeons in navigating both routine and highly complex sinus and skull base anatomies.
According to Medtronic, the platform delivers enhanced anatomical visualization and faster system responsiveness compared with previous generations of navigation technology, helping surgeons operate with greater precision and confidence.
“Receiving the CE mark for the Stealth AXiS surgical system in ENT procedures is an important milestone for ENT surgeons and patients across Europe,” said Sean Haag, President of Medtronic’s ENT business. “This platform builds on our long legacy in surgical navigation while introducing a more connected, intelligent system specifically designed for the future of ENT surgery.”
Panos Drakoulas, Vice President International, Medtronic ENT, highlighted the importance of expanding access to the technology across European markets. “We’re excited to reach this milestone and expand access to the Stealth AXiS surgical system across Europe,” he said.
“ENT surgeons are looking for technology that fits naturally into their workflow while helping them navigate basic to highly complex anatomy with confidence. The Stealth AXiS surgical system was built with those insights in mind, and we look forward to supporting more surgeons and patients across the region.”
