Supply chain veteran with over 24 years of experience to strengthen distribution and logistics operations
Alembic Pharmaceuticals has appointed M. Sai Kiran as General Manager – Distribution, reinforcing its leadership team with an experienced supply chain professional to drive operational excellence across its distribution network.
Sai Kiran brings more than 24 years of experience in pharmaceutical distribution, logistics, warehouse management, CFA management and supply chain operations.
In his new role, he will lead Alembic's distribution and logistics function, with a focus on enhancing supply chain efficiency, improving operational performance and supporting the company's growth through agile distribution capabilities.
Before joining Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Sai Kiran served as Head – Distribution at Biological E Limited, Hyderabad, where he led several strategic initiatives, including the implementation of an online order management tool and SAP-driven dispatch planning.
He also drove significant cost efficiencies through process optimisation and operational improvements.
Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy General Manager – Distribution at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals and held leadership roles at Bharat Biotech International Limited, gaining extensive experience in managing pharmaceutical supply chains and distribution networks.
Sai Kiran holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen Alembic Pharmaceuticals' distribution capabilities and support the company's focus on building a resilient, efficient and customer-centric supply chain.
