AmeriHealth Home Healthcare, a part of Asian Healthcare Group, celebrated its five-year milestone with an event highlighting the growing importance of organised and standardised home healthcare services in India, particularly amid the country’s rapidly ageing population.
The event began with an inaugural address by Padma Shri Dr. N. K. Pandey, Chairman, Asian Healthcare Group, who underscored the urgent need to strengthen home-based healthcare delivery models. He noted that rising life expectancy and the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases have made home healthcare an essential component of the healthcare ecosystem.
Dr. Pandey emphasised that accessible, high-quality medical care at home can improve patient outcomes, enhance dignity, support better quality of life, and help reduce avoidable hospital admissions.
The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Charu Dutt Arora, Head, AmeriHealth Home Healthcare and Consultant Physician (Geriatrics & Palliative Care), who reflected on AmeriHealth’s five-year journey and its commitment to delivering compassionate and evidence-based care beyond hospital settings.
“Healthcare is not defined by the walls of a hospital. True healing begins when compassionate, evidence-based care reaches the patient’s home with dignity, empathy, and continuity,” said Dr. Arora.
A key highlight of the celebration was the Excellence Awards Ceremony, which recognised nurses, caregivers, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation professionals for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to improving patient care.
Healthcare experts interacted with attendees on key aspects of elder care, preventive healthcare, rehabilitation, and the growing role of home-based medical support in improving health outcomes for seniors.
The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Anupam Pandey, Director, Asian Healthcare Group.
