The platform will combine expert perspectives and scientific insights with practical analytical approaches, live technology demonstrations and peer-to-peer discussions

Anton Paar India has announced NEXUS, a new two-day Industry Knowledge & Technology Platform aimed at bringing industry leaders, scientists, researchers and academia together to address some of the most pressing analytical and manufacturing challenges facing key sectors.

Scheduled for October 7–8, 2026, NEXUS will bring together voices from pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, chemicals, petroleum and asphalt under the theme “Industry Insights. Technology. Experience.”

Unlike conventional product-focused conferences, NEXUS will put real-world industry challenges at the centre of the conversation. The two-day programme will examine issues ranging from formulation development and material characterisation to quality control, process efficiency, scale-up, sustainability and next-generation product development.

The platform will combine expert perspectives and scientific insights with practical analytical approaches, live technology demonstrations and peer-to-peer discussions, with a focus on how better science and data can support better decision-making.

Nitin Prabhakar, Managing Director, Anton Paar India said “NEXUS is designed around a simple but important shift in perspective starting with the industry challenge rather than the instrument. Across sectors, organisations are dealing with increasingly complex materials, tighter quality expectations, manufacturing efficiencies and sustainability goals.

"By bringing together scientific insight, industry experience and technology in one platform, we want to create meaningful conversations that can help participants better understand these challenges and identify practical approaches to solving them.”

A key feature of NEXUS will be its Innovation Expo and live application demonstrations, running alongside keynote presentations and technical sessions.

The format is designed to move beyond conventional conference presentations, giving scientists, laboratory leaders, quality professionals, R&D teams, manufacturing specialists and senior decision-makers an opportunity to engage directly with analytical workflows and technologies.

The cross-sector format will also allow participants to compare approaches to common analytical challenges and examine how different industries are using science and data to improve products and processes.

The pharmaceuticals track, “New Generation Drug Delivery: From Molecule to Medicine,” will focus on the growing complexity of drug products and the role of deeper material and formulation understanding in their development and manufacture.

Sessions will cover advanced material characterisation, next-generation drug delivery, particles and interfaces, formulation stability and the role of critical excipients such as magnesium stearate in solid dosage performance.

The track is expected to bring together pharmaceutical manufacturers, API and formulation companies, life-sciences organisations, CROs, testing laboratories, academia and standards-focused organisations.

The Food & Beverage track will examine the science underpinning product performance, formulation and consistency.

Key topics will include dough and starch characterisation, flour functionality, rheology and pasting behaviour, gluten-free and alternative flours, along with broader quality and process challenges across food and beverage manufacturing.

Manufacturers, breweries, distilleries, ingredient specialists, testing laboratories, research institutions and process technology organisations are expected to participate.

For the chemicals industry, NEXUS will examine how analytical data can extend beyond conventional quality control to provide deeper insights into product performance.

Sessions will explore analytical data as a tool for performance intelligence, rheology as a product fingerprint and the link between laboratory formulation and plant-scale processing.

The track will cover areas including specialty chemicals, paints and coatings, adhesives, inks, polymers, fragrances, petrochemicals and formulated chemical manufacturing.

The Petroleum & Asphalt track will focus on quality, operational efficiency and sustainability as the sector evolves.

The programme will address integrated analytics for petroleum and petrochemicals, lubricant and fuel characterisation, process efficiency and sustainable road materials, including recycled asphalt, warm-mix technologies and modified binders.

Refineries, oil and gas companies, lubricant manufacturers, petrochemical producers, testing laboratories, engineering organisations, road-material specialists and academia are expected to form part of the audience.

At its core, NEXUS is built around a question: What is industry trying to understand, improve or solve?

By bringing together industry experience, scientific understanding and technology, Anton Paar India aims to create a platform where analytical challenges can be discussed across sectors and where insights generated in one field can inform another.

The company said the objective is to take those conversations beyond the conference room—connecting people, ideas and practical approaches to the challenges shaping the next generation of products and manufacturing.
