Unveiled at the BIO International Convention 2026, the initiative brings together leaders from pharma, biotech, academia, government, investment, and patient advocacy
BioMed X has officially launched the BioMed X Innovation Circle during the BIO International Convention 2026, establishing a new platform to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange across the global life sciences ecosystem.
The inaugural event, hosted at the Massachusetts Pavilion in partnership with MassBio, brought together leaders from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, patient and disease-focused foundations, investment firms, academia, government agencies, and innovation ecosystem organisations.
The BioMed X Innovation Circle has been created as a cross-sector community of trusted leaders with the objective of encouraging collaboration across traditional organisational and disciplinary boundaries.
Many of its founding members are already part of the broader BioMed X partner network, with the initiative built on the belief that transformative innovation emerges when experts from diverse backgrounds work together, challenge conventional thinking, and build relationships based on trust.
By facilitating open dialogue and strategic discussions, the Innovation Circle aims to promote collaboration on scientific, technological, and societal challenges that are shaping the future of healthcare and biomedical innovation. The initiative seeks to create opportunities for new partnerships and accelerate the development of innovative solutions through cross-disciplinary engagement.
Commenting on the launch, the BioMed X team said, "We were delighted by the openness, curiosity, and quality of the discussions throughout the evening. The launch event demonstrated the value of bringing together people with different expertise and perspectives to exchange ideas and build new connections. We look forward to building this community and seeing the new unusual connections and partnerships that emerge from the Circle."
The launch marks the beginning of a long-term initiative by BioMed X to cultivate trusted relationships and strengthen collaboration across the global healthcare innovation ecosystem through future networking events, strategic workshops, and discussions focused on addressing complex biomedical challenges.
