The deal, backed by healthcare investor ARCHIMED, signals a major push to accelerate connected, patient-centered cardiac care worldwide

Cardioline has made a decisive move to strengthen its global footprint in cardiac diagnostics, announcing the acquisition of Cardios from Halma.

The deal, backed by healthcare investor ARCHIMED, signals a major push to accelerate connected, patient-centered cardiac care worldwide.

The takeover unites two established players in heart monitoring technology. Cardioline, already active in more than 85 countries, will integrate Cardios’s long-standing expertise in Holter monitoring and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM)—a combination expected to deliver a seamless, end-to-end diagnostic offering across global systems.

Industry analysts see the move as more than a routine acquisition. It marks a strategic expansion into Latin America while deepening Cardioline’s capabilities in remote and telecardiology solutions, an area of growing demand as healthcare systems increasingly shift toward digital and home-based care.

ARCHIMED, Cardioline’s majority shareholder, played a key role in executing the transaction, reinforcing its strategy of building scaled medtech platforms. At the same time, the deal builds on the foundation established by Halma, which developed Cardios into a clinically trusted and commercially strong business in Brazil.

“This acquisition is an exciting moment for Cardioline and a clear expression of our vision: to power a better cardiac care globally.

"This transaction also significantly strengthens Cardioline’s leadership position in telemedicine. Beyond the product synergies, this acquisition opens a meaningful new geographic hub for Cardioline, expanding our presence and commercial reach into markets where Cardios has built strong, trusted relationships.

"This is precisely the kind of strategic growth — clinically grounded, geographically expansive, and deeply aligned in values — that we set out to achieve with the support of ARCHIMED. We are proud to welcome the Cardios team into the Cardioline family," said Luis Meireles, CEO, Cardioline.

The integration is expected to broaden Cardios’s capabilities as well, bringing in Cardioline’s expertise in stress testing and electrocardiography to complement its existing portfolio.

“This integration represents a strategic leap for Cardios’s portfolio, which now incorporates Cardioline’s proven solutions, specifically in stress test systems and electrocardiography, increasing our capability to offer a complete care across the clinical journey.

By combining Cardioline’s global reach with the clinical expertise, market proximity, and the reliability built by Cardios in Holter and ABPM over decades, we strengthen our shared goal of redefining standards in cardiac diagnostics and generating a positive, lasting impact for physicians and patients.

"Together we may transform innovation into solutions that make the difference saving lives” said Erica Chriguer of Cardios.

With this acquisition, Cardioline is not just scaling up—it is positioning itself at the center of a rapidly evolving global market for connected cardiac care.
