CORONA Remedies Limited has strengthened its commitment to advancing women's healthcare with the inauguration and commercialisation of its dedicated EU-GMP approved hormone manufacturing facility at Bhayla, Ahmedabad.

The new facility represents a significant milestone in the company's efforts to build pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities that meet global quality standards.

The state-of-the-art plant was inaugurated by Chairman Dr. K. L. Mehta, alongside long-serving women employees, highlighting the company's focus on women's health and recognising the contributions of women to its growth and success.

The facility comes at a time when demand for women's healthcare solutions is rising globally, driven by increasing awareness and diagnosis of hormonal disorders, growing demand for fertility treatments, and a greater focus on menopause management and hormone replacement therapies.

As hormone-based therapies become more specialised, pharmaceutical manufacturers are investing in dedicated infrastructure capable of meeting stringent quality and safety standards.

Hormonal medicines are among the most complex pharmaceutical products to manufacture due to their high potency, sensitive formulations, and strict contamination control requirements.

To address these challenges, CORONA Remedies has established one of India's most advanced dedicated hormone manufacturing facilities, designed to serve both domestic and international markets.

Built across approximately 100,000 square feet, the integrated manufacturing facility supports multiple dosage forms, including tablets, soft gel capsules, ointments, and gels, within a single specialised production ecosystem. It has an annual manufacturing capacity of 194 million tablets and capsules, along with 1.5 million ointments and gels.

With the commissioning of the plant, the company's in-house hormone manufacturing capacity is expected to increase by nearly 20%.

The facility incorporates advanced manufacturing technologies, including fully integrated closed-loop manufacturing systems supported by 21 CFR-compliant equipment and Quality by Design (QbD) principles.

It also features precision-controlled gelatin processing systems, jacketed vessels for accurate temperature management, and real-time process monitoring to enhance batch consistency, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Nirav K. Mehta, Founder, Managing Director and CEO of CORONA Remedies Limited, said the dedicated hormone manufacturing facility reflects the company's commitment to combining scientific innovation with world-class manufacturing capabilities. He added that the investment will strengthen India's pharmaceutical manufacturing ecosystem while ensuring women have access to safe, reliable, and high-quality hormone therapies.
