For 2026 onwards, CPHI and PMEC India are evolving into two distinct, specialized shows
Organized by Informa Markets in India, the 18th edition of CPHI & PMEC India recently concluded at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, reinforcing India’s status as a global pharmaceutical powerhouse. The three-day event hosted more than 50,000 professionals and 2,000 exhibitors representing 120 countries, including major hubs like Germany, Switzerland, Italy, South Korea, and China.
The expo showcased the complete pharmaceutical value chain—from APIs and formulations to advanced machinery, cleanroom solutions, and laboratory technologies—fostering high-level strategic collaboration and innovation across the industry.
Commenting on the success of the edition, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said: “India’s pharmaceutical sector has witnessed remarkable growth, with exports reaching USD 30 billion and global life sciences leaders increasingly choosing India as a strategic base. The strong international participation at CPHI & PMEC India reflects global confidence in India’s innovation and manufacturing capabilities. Having reached a natural scale peak with the combined format, the decision to evolve CPHI and PMEC into specialised platforms will enable deeper, more impactful engagement across the value chain.”
The organiser also announced that from 2026 onwards, CPHI and PMEC India will transition into two specialised shows across two locations on consecutive days, following extensive stakeholder consultations. CPHI India will move to Dwarka, offering a more premium, content-led environment for formulation, ingredients, and finished dosage stakeholders. PMEC India will continue at IEML, Greater Noida, optimised for scale and tailored to the machinery and technology ecosystem.
The exhibition featured participation from leading pharmaceutical companies including Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Biocon, Jubilant Ingrevia, Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, MSN Laboratories, Gland Pharma, and others, alongside major machinery and technology players such as ACG, Cadmach, Gansons, Shimadzu, Klenzaids, and more.
The event received strong support from industry associations including Pharmexcil, IPEC India, BDMAI, OPPI, FOPE, and the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), reinforcing its role as a trusted industry platform.
CPHI & PMEC India 2025 showcased an extensive knowledge exchange, headlined by the Pharma Connect Congress. This forum examined vital industry pillars, including innovation-driven manufacturing, cost-efficiency, and digital integration from R&D to market entry. Expert sessions also navigated complex EU regulatory frameworks and the growing niche of orphan drug production.
A centerpiece of the event was the exclusive Pharma Leaders’ Roundtable 2025. Under the theme "Scripting India Pharma 3.0," top executives analyzed global market fluctuations and regulatory strategies.
The event also hosted the India Pharma Awards 2025 to celebrate excellence in innovation, sustainability, digital transformation, and lifetime contribution to the sector.
