CPHI & PMEC Shenzhen 2026 is set to host its most international edition yet, reflecting growing global interest in South China’s expanding pharmaceutical market and the technologies driving the next generation of healthcare innovation.

The event will take place from September 16-18, 2026, at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (SZCEC), China, and is expected to attract visitors from 140 countries, including C-suite executives and senior industry leaders seeking new technologies, strategic partnerships and access to one of the world’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical markets.

Shenzhen’s emergence as a major technology hub has positioned the city at the centre of developments in AI-enabled drug discovery, smart manufacturing, biologics and digital healthcare. With China’s AI pharmaceutical market projected to grow at a CAGR of more than 41%, the city is increasingly becoming an important centre for technology-driven pharmaceutical innovation.

Anne Schumacher, Group Director of Events & Business Development, Informa Markets, said the event would provide international businesses with an opportunity to connect with the technologies, companies and partnerships shaping the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

The 2026 edition will place a stronger focus on artificial intelligence and digital technologies through a new AI Tech & Contract Service Zone, showcasing emerging technologies and service providers supporting pharmaceutical innovation.

The Smart Manufacturing Zone will highlight the digital transformation of pharmaceutical production, featuring equipment manufacturers and service providers working across intelligent manufacturing, automated logistics, inspection and testing and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

More than 800 exhibitors are expected to participate, showcasing technologies and solutions spanning pharmaceutical ingredients, biotechnology, AI and contract services, finished dosage forms, packaging and drug delivery, pharmaceutical machinery, laboratory equipment and clean technologies.

The conference programme will bring together academic experts and pharmaceutical industry leaders to discuss technological innovation, policy developments and market opportunities shaping pharmaceutical manufacturing in South China and the wider global market.
