Glenmark Pharmaceuticals has launched Calcium Gluconate Injection USP in three formulations, strengthening its U.S. hospital injectables portfolio and targeting a market with approximately $69.9 million in annual sales.

 

The company announced the launch of 1,000 mg/10 mL and 5,000 mg/50 mL single-dose vials, along with a 10,000 mg/100 mL pharmacy bulk package. Glenmark said its product is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug from Fresenius Kabi USA.

 

The launch comes as Glenmark continues to expand its presence in the U.S. injectables market, with the company positioning the product as part of its broader strategy to serve institutional healthcare providers and strengthen supply resilience.

 

According to IQVIA sales data for the 12-month period ending June 2026, the U.S. market for the corresponding Calcium Gluconate Injection formulations generated approximately $69.9 million in annual sales.

Glenmark’s Calcium Gluconate Injection USP is approved only for the indications specified in the company’s approved label. The market figures cited by Glenmark include the brand and all available therapeutic equivalents and cover approved reference-listed-drug indications; the company noted that its product may have a different set of approved indications.

 

The launch adds another product to Glenmark’s growing U.S. hospital-focused portfolio as the company seeks to build a more differentiated and sustainable injectables business.
