The greenfield facility in Madhya Pradesh expected to create up to 500 direct jobs, in addition to generating indirect employment opportunities

Haleon, the global consumer health company focused on better everyday health, has announced plans to establish its first manufacturing facility in India with a state-of-the-art greenfield plant at Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh.

Spread across more than 40 acres within the Smart Industrial Park, the proposed facility represents a major investment in India's consumer health sector and underscores Haleon's long-term commitment to the country as a strategic growth market.

The announcement was made in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Haleon CEO Brian McNamara, Haleon India CEO and President India Subcontinent Kedar Lele, and Chief Supply Chain Officer Namrata Patel.

The new manufacturing site is expected to strengthen Haleon's local manufacturing footprint, improve supply chain resilience, increase domestic value addition, and support exports to markets across Asia.

Aligned with the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative, the investment is projected to generate significant economic value over the next decade through enhanced export competitiveness, contribution to state revenues, and deeper integration of India into global supply chains.

The facility is expected to create up to 500 direct jobs, in addition to generating indirect employment opportunities through local supplier and support ecosystems. Haleon has also set an ambition to build a diverse workforce, targeting up to 30% women employees at the site.

Brian McNamara, CEO, Haleon, said, "We aim to expand access to better everyday health for more than 300 million additional consumers in India. This will be key to achieving our broader ambition to reach one billion more consumers globally by 2030."

Kedar Lele, CEO India and President, Haleon India Subcontinent, added, "We are grateful for the strong partnership and support from the Government of Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) in enabling this investment.”

“As demand for trusted everyday health solutions continues to grow, this facility will enhance our ability to serve consumers across India and global markets, particularly in Oral Health, while reinforcing our commitment to making everyday health more accessible to millions,” Lele added.
