As a follow-up to the Departmental Summit 2025 of the National Ayush Mission held in New Delhi, the National Ayush Mission, Kerala, will host a two-day National Workshop on “IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector” from September 18–19, 2025, at Kottayam, Kerala. The workshop aims to strengthen the Ayush digital framework and foster adoption of interoperable and citizen-centric digital solutions across the country.
The inaugural session on September 18 will open with a welcome address by Dr. Sajith Babu, Mission Director, NAM, Government of Kerala. Veena George, Minister for Health and Women & Child Development, Government of Kerala, will deliver the inaugural address, followed by the presidential address by Rajan Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary (Health), Government of Kerala. The keynote address will be delivered by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and a special address will be presented by Kavita Jain, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ayush.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush, Ministers and administrators from States and Union Territories, Mission Directors, IT experts from Ayush divisions at Central and State levels, and specialists in digital health and e-governance will participate in the deliberations. The workshop will provide a platform for sharing best practices, showcasing IT innovations from across States and UTs, and discussing key domains including programme management, patient care, monitoring and reporting systems, human resource and data management, and financial tracking.
The discussions are expected to pave the way for the creation of a consolidated national knowledge-sharing platform on IT-enabled Ayush services, a framework for standardised digital adoption, and recommendations to align Ayush digital systems with the National Digital Health Mission and other national e-health initiatives.
Following the workshop, a two-day field visit from September 20–21 will be organised to Ayush facilities in Kerala across Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur districts. Delegates will experience diverse models of Ayush service delivery, including the Ayushman Arogya Mandir (ISM & Homoeopathy) – NABH Entry Level Certified and Kayakalp Awarded Government Hospitals, the Sports Ayurveda Project, and initiatives such as Arogyanouka, Palliative Care, Drishti, and Ayurkarma.
This national workshop marks a significant step towards building a future-ready Ayush digital health ecosystem, promoting inter-state collaboration, and ensuring standardised, scalable, and evidence-based digital adoption in the sector.
