Specialty chemicals company LANXESS will be highlighting its premium products and services of “LANXESS Biosecurity Solutions” at EuroTier 2022, the world’s leading trade fair for biosecurity, which takes place from November 15 to 18 in Hannover.
The core of “LANXESS Biosecurity Solutions” is a portfolio of scientifically formulated, highly effective and versatile biocidal products. The premium product brands include Virkon S, Virkon LSP, Virkon H2O, Aldekol DES FF, Aldekol DES 04, TH4+, TH5, Mefisto Shock, Mentofin, and many more.

“Livestock producers need to achieve the highest levels of biosecurity, supported by intensive training and achieved through the participation of all those involved in the company – management, operators, and suppliers,” explains Gschwandner.
Biosecurity is one of the only ways to help prevent the spread of the current outbreaks of the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus and Highly Pathogenic strains of Avian Influenza (HPAI).
The transmission of both ASF and HPAI has been strongly linked to the transportation of goods and infected livestock and poultry. They can both be transmitted not only by direct contact from animal to animal – bird to bird, but also indirectly by contact with contaminated clothing, feed, and food waste, animal faeces, or equipment, wild animals and birds, transport vehicles, and farm personnel. Airborne transmission has also been reported.
