Lasa production to commence in couple of weeks

The company is confident of commencing production at both Mahad and Chiplun units soon

Lasa Supergenerics Limited, pioneer and amongst the leading players in the manufacturing of Veterinary APIs in India through its catalyst chemistry expertise and fully backward integrated unit, production at Mahad and Chiplun units will commence soon.

The company has faced some untoward incidents in the form of an unfortunate fire at its unit in Mahad and also natural calamity in the form of floods at its Chiplun Units. No casualty reported in any of the units.

Commenting on the recent development, Dr. Omkar Herlekar, Chairman & Managing Director, Lasa Supergenerics Limited said, “This is a very challenging phase for us. Since we are in an industry that deals with highly inflammable chemicals and processes, we ensure to follow every possible guideline and take every necessary and cautionary step to keep ourselves and our plants safe. The safety of our staff and of our assets is our primary concern every day. I feel very relieved that every life has been protected in both incidents - the fire and flood at our plants."

"Since we are full of order books we cannot afford to lose even a single customer or order hence by hook or crook we shall be back stronger at the earliest. I assure stakeholders that we will take every necessary step to come back stronger and also urge us not to panic as things are under control and we are confident to recommence immediately," commented Herlekar.
