Leading experts to discuss challenges associated with complex therapeutics, including peptides, oligonucleotides and long-acting injectables at Peptides & Complex Generics Symposium 2026 in Mumbai on September 28–29, 2026
Mumbai Biocluster, a Section 8 not-for-profit institution under the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, has announced the second edition of the Peptides & Complex Generics Symposium (PCG 2026), scheduled for September 28–29, 2026, at Aurika by Lemon Tree Hotels, Mumbai.
Following the success of its inaugural edition, PCG 2026 will bring together global experts, pharmaceutical industry leaders, regulators, policymakers and researchers to examine the scientific, manufacturing, analytical, regulatory and commercial challenges associated with complex therapeutics, including peptides, oligonucleotides and long-acting injectables.
A key addition to this year’s programme is the Billion Dose Challenge, an industry-led initiative focused on how India can manufacture and deliver complex therapeutics at population scale while maintaining quality, affordability and regulatory standards.
The initiative seeks to encourage actionable strategies that can strengthen India’s role as both an innovation hub and a global supplier of advanced medicines.
“India has already proven, it can make medicines affordable — the real test now is whether we can make complex therapeutics like peptides available at population scale, without compromising on quality or speed. The Billion Dose Challenge is our way of putting that question at the centre of the conversation, not at the margins.
Through PCG 2026, we want to bring together the people who build, regulate, and finance these medicines, so that India moves from being a fast follower to a genuine architect of how the world manufactures complex therapeutics,” said Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Founder and Director, Mumbai Biocluster.
The symposium will feature plenary discussions on the Billion Dose Challenge and the Beyond China +1 strategy for building resilient global supply chains for complex therapeutics.
The programme will also cover peptide manufacturing, GLP-1 therapies, oligonucleotides and regulatory science, with participation from pharmaceutical companies, technology providers and research organisations.
Technical workshops will focus on peptide purification and next-generation oligonucleotide facility design, offering practical and industry-oriented training. The event will also provide opportunities for abstract presentations, awards, travel grants and recognition of young researchers.
The Molecule-to-Market Expo will showcase technologies and solutions from companies including Sartorius Stedim India, Cytiva, Agilent Technologies India, Invitron Advanced Analytics and Hitachi High-Tech India, among others.
The symposium is also expected to serve as a networking platform connecting academia, industry, policymakers, startups, investors and technology providers.
