Philips expands patient monitoring ecosystem beyond the hospital bedside

The collaborations with Blue Spark Technologies, Caretaker Medical, Cuviva, LifeSignals, Respiree and smartQare broaden Philips’ wearable and out-of-hospital monitoring capabilities
Royal Philips is expanding its open patient monitoring ecosystem through new collaborations with six healthcare technology companies, aiming to give health systems greater visibility of patients as they move from hospital care to recovery at home.
The collaborations with Blue Spark Technologies, Caretaker Medical, Cuviva, LifeSignals, Respiree and smartQare broaden Philips’ wearable and out-of-hospital monitoring capabilities and are designed to support more continuous, connected care across the patient journey.
The move comes as healthcare systems increasingly shift higher-acuity care beyond traditional hospital settings, making continuous visibility into a patient’s condition more critical across admission, discharge and recovery.
Philips says its interoperable monitoring ecosystem allows health systems to integrate technologies from multiple partners while connecting patient data across care settings. The goal is to turn fragmented monitoring data into actionable clinical insight and help clinicians coordinate care more effectively.

The new collaborations expand the range of continuous measurements that can be integrated into the Philips ecosystem, including the Patient Information Center (PIC) iX.
The expanded network includes:
Blue Spark Technologies: TempTraq, a disposable wearable patch designed for continuous core body temperature monitoring and intended to support earlier fever detection in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Caretaker Medical: VitalStream, a wearable solution for continuous non-invasive blood pressure and advanced hemodynamic monitoring, supporting inpatient surveillance and clinical decision-making.
Cuviva: A Hospital at Home platform providing digital monitoring, real-time communication and integration with Philips clinical workflows and hospital digital infrastructure.
LifeSignals: UbiqVue Multiparameter Biosensor, a single-use wireless wearable designed to continuously monitor ECG, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, respiration rate, body temperature, posture and motion.
Respiree: The 1Bio platform, 1BioAI and RS001 wearable biosensor technology, providing continuous cardio-respiratory monitoring and tracking measures including respiratory rate, pulse, SpO₂, posture and activity.
smartQare: viQtor and Healthdot wearable biosensors, supporting continuous monitoring of pulse, respiration, SpO₂, skin temperature and activity during care transitions.
Together, the technologies extend Philips’ broader connected-care portfolio, which includes solutions designed to maintain monitoring beyond hospital discharge.
Philips Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCOT) enables remote monitoring of appropriate cardiac patients for up to 30 days following an inpatient or emergency-department evaluation, helping support transitions into the appropriate care pathway.
Philips says the expanded partner ecosystem is intended to give health systems greater flexibility to deploy monitoring programs suited to their clinical and operational requirements while maintaining connectivity across different care environments.
