Leadership transition aims to strengthen the company's growth strategy, manufacturing capabilities and R&D focus
Aarti Drugs Limited (ADL) has announced a major leadership transition, with its Board approving the elevation of Rashesh C. Gogri as Chairman, in addition to his existing role as Managing Director, and the appointment of Adhish P. Patil as Managing Director, effective October 1, 2026.
The appointments, approved at the Board meeting held on July 31, 2026, are based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and are aimed at strengthening the company's leadership as it enters its next phase of growth.
As part of the transition, Prakash M. Patil, who has served as Chairman since 2014 and has been associated with Aarti Drugs since its inception, will step down from his executive roles as Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at the close of business on September 30, 2026.
He will continue to be associated with the company in an advisory capacity to provide strategic guidance and ensure a smooth leadership transition.
Rashesh Gogri has served as Managing Director since September 2014, after previously holding the position of Whole-time Director. With more than 27 years of experience in production, marketing and project implementation across the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, he also serves as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Aarti Industries Ltd. and Chairman of Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd.
Adhish Patil, who has been Chief Financial Officer of Aarti Drugs since April 2014, has led the company's finance, technical and commercial functions over the past decade. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Engineering from Mumbai University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business Administration, where he graduated as a gold medallist. His appointment as Managing Director is subject to shareholders' approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Commenting on the transition, Prakash M. Patil said it had been the privilege of his professional life to help build Aarti Drugs from its inception into its current position and expressed confidence in the new leadership team to drive the company's future growth.
Chairman-designate Rashesh Gogri said Aarti Drugs has built its reputation on scientific rigor, quality and reliability, and that he intends to strengthen the company's API and formulations businesses while pursuing new growth opportunities.
Managing Director-designate Adhish Patil said his experience across finance and operations over the past decade has given him a deep understanding of the company's manufacturing strengths and customer relationships. He added that his focus would be on enhancing execution, improving competitiveness and creating long-term value for stakeholders.
