Alkem Laboratories has appointed Chanakya Misra as Senior Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Chronic Cluster.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, Misra has built a distinguished career in commercial strategy, marketing, and business leadership.

He has a proven track record of building successful brands, driving business growth, and delivering strategic leadership across multiple therapy areas.

Prior to joining Alkem, Misra held several leadership positions at Novartis, where he led key business franchises, including Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic, Ophthalmology, and Rare Diseases.

During his tenure, he focused on business strategy, marketing, new business development, and cross-functional collaboration while leveraging digital technologies to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes.

In his current role at Alkem, Misra leads the Chronic Business P&L, overseeing the company's Cardiovascular, Diabetes, and Metabolic therapy portfolios. He is responsible for driving strategy and execution to expand patient access, strengthen market presence, and accelerate the growth of Alkem's Chronic business.
