Dr. Rishi brings more than 15 years of experience in bioprocess development, microbial fermentation, technology transfer, and biotechnology operations
Ipca Laboratories Limited has appointed Dr. Sandarbh Rishi as Head – MSAT/Pilot Plant, strengthening the company's capabilities in bioprocess development, technology transfer, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Dr. Rishi brings more than 15 years of experience in bioprocess development, microbial fermentation, technology transfer, and biotechnology operations.
In his new role, he will be responsible for advancing manufacturing science and technology (MSAT) initiatives, pilot plant operations, and process optimization efforts to support the company's growing biopharmaceutical portfolio.
Prior to joining Ipca Laboratories, Dr. Rishi held leadership positions at Intas Pharmaceuticals, where he served as AGM – Bioprocess R&D Technology Transfer and DGM – Bioprocess, Microbial Fermentation R&D.
During his tenure, he played a key role in process development, scale-up, commercialization, and technology transfer programs for biopharmaceutical products.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Rishi has also worked with Premas Biotech, Themis Medicare Limited, and Transgenix Biotechnologies.
His expertise encompasses upstream and downstream bioprocessing, recombinant biologics manufacturing, microbial fermentation, steroids and hormone bioconversion, process scale-up, plant commissioning, and regulatory compliance under USFDA, EU GMP, and WHO cGMP standards.
