Jayesh Parkar takes charge as Head of Excipients & Biopharma Chemicals, APAC at Merck

Jayesh Parkar has taken charge as Head of Excipients & Biopharma Chemicals – Asia Pacific, excluding China, at Merck Group, marking a new milestone in his more than 15-year career with the company.

Parkar brings extensive experience across sales leadership, strategic planning, business development, bioprocess technologies, pharmaceutical excipients and biopharma chemicals. Over the course of his career at Merck, he has held progressively senior roles spanning commercial and strategic functions across the region.

In his new role, Parkar will focus on strengthening commercial growth, deepening customer partnerships and accelerating the adoption of innovative excipient and biopharma chemical solutions across the Asia-Pacific market.

His experience includes delivering 30% business growth with P&L responsibility and developing regional strategies supporting significant APAC revenues, positioning him to lead the business through its next phase of growth.
