Parag Desai has been appointed Head of Marketing Excellence at Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited, taking on a strategic leadership role focused on strengthening marketing effectiveness, business productivity and strategic execution.

Desai brings more than 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise spanning sales, sales effectiveness, hospital sales, marketing, business excellence, strategy, digital transformation and business development.

Prior to joining Alembic Pharmaceuticals in his new role, Desai served as Director (Vice President) at Emcure Pharmaceuticals, a position he took up in January 2025. 

At Emcure, he focused on strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing marketing productivity, operational excellence and sustainable business growth. 

Earlier in his career, Desai held leadership positions at Cipla, Alembic Pharmaceuticals and Zydus Group, gaining extensive experience across pharmaceutical sales and marketing, commercial strategy and business excellence.
