Deori brings more than eight years of experience spanning communications, brand building, social media and go-to-market strategies, with professional experience across multiple industries
GSK India has appointed Parashmoni Deori as Corporate Communications Manager, where she will be part of the company’s Communications & Government Affairs function.
In her new role, Deori will bring her experience in brand building, strategic communications and storytelling to the organisation.
Deori announced her appointment on LinkedIn, describing the move as another step outside her comfort zone.
“Life has a funny way of rewarding us when we say ‘yes’ to being uncomfortable. Two years ago, I stepped away from what was familiar and moved into a completely new role and industry. Today, I am doing it again,” Deori said.
Reflecting on her transition into the pharmaceutical industry, she added, “While this industry may be new to me, the heart of the work is still the same. At its core, it's about something I have always loved, i.e. storytelling.”
Deori brings more than eight years of experience spanning communications, brand building, social media and go-to-market strategies, with professional experience across multiple industries. Her new mandate at GSK India will see her work within the Communications & Government Affairs team, leveraging her background in brand and strategic communications.
The appointment comes as GSK continues to strengthen its communications function in India. The company’s Communications & Government Affairs function is led globally by its communications leadership, with GSK India maintaining a dedicated media and communications team.
Deori’s move to GSK marks a shift into the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector, adding her cross-industry communications experience to the company’s corporate communications team.
