Pawan Varshney elevated to Director of Finance – South Asia at Cepheid

His appointment is expected to further strengthen the company’s financial governance and regional operational strategy across South Asia

Pawan Varshney has been elevated to Director of Finance – South Asia at Cepheid, a leading molecular diagnostics company, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Danaher Corporation.

In his new role, Varshney will be responsible for driving revenue growth through robust forecasting mechanisms, leading enterprise-wide change management initiatives, and supporting critical business decisions related to policy formulation and regulatory compliance.

Prior to this elevation, Varshney served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and also worked as an independent consultant, where he provided CFO-level advisory services in areas including financial planning, taxation, and strategic decision-making.

Over the course of his career, he has held senior finance roles across leading organisations such as PEARL GLOBAL INDUSTRIES LTD (PGIL), Techno Design GmbH, Gap Inc., The Oberoi Group, and NTPC Limited.

His professional journey spans diverse sectors and geographies, with a strong focus on financial transformation, global operations, and enterprise scalability.

Varshney’s expertise includes implementing large-scale ERP systems, optimising working capital structures, and managing complex finance operations across multiple regions.

He began his career as a Technical Officer at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, laying the foundation for his extensive expertise in accounting and financial governance.
