Priyaranjan Jha joins Sandoz as Global Head of GCCs and Country President, India

In his new role, Jha will oversee Sandoz’s GCC operations across Hyderabad, Prague, Mexico City and Madrid

Sandoz has appointed Priyaranjan Jha as Global Head of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Country President, Sandoz India, giving him a dual mandate covering the company’s global GCC network as well as its India operations. 

Jha is based in Hyderabad and will report to Remco Steenbergen, Chief Financial Officer, Sandoz. 

In his new role, Jha will oversee Sandoz’s GCC operations across Hyderabad, Prague, Mexico City and Madrid. His mandate includes growing and evolving the centres as an integral part of Sandoz’s global operating model. 

Jha announced his appointment on LinkedIn, noting that the role combines his interest in building global capability operations with Sandoz’s focus on access to affordable medicines. He said the mandate would involve developing the company’s GCC network across the four locations.

Jha joins Sandoz from Iron Mountain, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Business Services, leading global GBS strategy, transformation and execution across a multi-site network. 

Prior to Iron Mountain, he was associated with PepsiCo, where he served as COO, Global Business Services and Managing Director – India Center of Global Business Services. His career also includes more than 14 years at Genpact, where he held leadership roles across global operations, portfolio management, business development, client relationship management, analytics and robotic process automation. 

Jha has also held roles at Reliance Jio Infocomm, IBM India and Tata Motors, building experience across technology, operations, business services and enterprise transformation.

He has been associated with the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) as a Global Advisory Board member and has also been involved as an angel investor in healthcare and employability ventures.

The appointment comes as Sandoz continues to position its global capability centres as an integral part of its operating model. The company's GCC network spans Hyderabad, Prague, Mexico City and Madrid, with the India centre forming an important component of its global capability footprint.
