Saurabh Gambhir elevated to Chief Strategy Officer (Global) at Cipla

Prior to joining Cipla, Gambhir built a strong track record across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Over the years, he has held several strategic leadership positions, including Head – Strategy and M&A (Global) and Head – Strategy, M&A and Digital – One India Business, where he played a key role in shaping Cipla’s growth agenda through enterprise strategy, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, portfolio optimization, and global business expansion initiatives.

Prior to joining Cipla, Gambhir built a strong track record across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. He served as Senior Director – Marketing and Portfolio Strategy at Emcure Pharmaceuticals, held multiple leadership roles at Intas Pharmaceuticals including General Manager – Sales & Marketing (Nephrology) and General Manager – Business Strategy, and worked in strategy and business development positions at IMS Health and Wanbury Limited. 

He began his professional career as an Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). With extensive experience spanning corporate strategy, M&A, business development, commercial excellence, portfolio management, and healthcare leadership, Gambhir is well positioned to drive Cipla’s long-term global growth and strategic priorities.
