Sandoz India has appointed Vishal Rathi as Group Head, Product Development. In his new role, he will lead the company’s Formulation Research and Development (R&D) initiatives and drive the development of innovative pharmaceutical products for global markets.
Rathi will be responsible for advancing product development capabilities, accelerating innovation, and strengthening Sandoz India’s research pipeline as the company continues to expand its presence in the global pharmaceuticals sector.
He brings more than 15 years of experience in formulation research and development, with deep expertise across a wide range of dosage forms and drug delivery technologies.
Prior to joining Sandoz India, Rathi held several leadership roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led teams working on differentiated formulations, drug-device combination products, injectables, nasal sprays, and oral solid dosage forms.
Over the course of his career, he has developed strong capabilities in global product development, Quality by Design (QbD), and complex generics, contributing to the successful development and commercialization of products for international markets.
His appointment is expected to further strengthen Sandoz India’s product development and innovation capabilities, supporting the company’s efforts to build a robust pipeline and deliver high-quality medicines to patients worldwide.
