The data reinforce the company's focus on personalized, evidence-based aesthetic care
Allergan Aesthetics is presenting new clinical findings at AMWC Dubai.
Thus, adding to the growing body of evidence supporting its aesthetics portfolio, including emerging research into facial volume changes associated with GLP-1 medical weight loss, patient satisfaction with skin treatments and the long-term benefits of repeated BOTOX Cosmetic treatment.
The data reinforce the company's focus on personalized, evidence-based aesthetic care as patient needs evolve and demand grows for treatment approaches that address facial structure, volume and skin quality.
"The breadth of data to be presented at AMWC reflects Allergan Aesthetics' commitment to developing evidence-based portfolio approaches to treatment as the industry continues to evolve alongside patient needs. We are excited to introduce HArmonyCa and its Dual Action Rejuvenating Technology as part of the continued expansion of our aesthetics portfolio," said Darin Messina, senior vice president, head of aesthetics research and development, AbbVie.
Among the findings being presented is a subgroup analysis examining HArmonyCa treatment in patients using glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) weight-loss medications.
All eight participants treated with HArmonyCa showed visible improvement in the midface three months after treatment, offering an early clinical signal for addressing facial volume changes in patients undergoing medical weight loss.
The findings are preliminary and based on a small subgroup, but add to ongoing research into aesthetic treatment options for patients experiencing changes in facial volume during GLP-1 therapy.
As medical weight loss reshapes patients' aesthetic needs, the research underscores the importance of individualized assessment and treatment planning that considers facial volume, structure and skin quality together.
Additional research presented at AMWC Dubai examines patient-reported outcomes following SKINVIVE™ treatment, with findings showing improvements in neck appearance and patient satisfaction.
New original research also explores satisfaction, perceived treatment benefits and motivations for retreatment among Middle Eastern patients receiving repeated, long-term BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment for upper facial lines.
The majority of patients reported satisfaction with the effects of long-term repeated treatment on upper forehead lines and said they felt younger as a result.⁴
The findings add to the evidence base for Allergan Aesthetics' AA Signature™ multimodal approach, which includes SKINVIVE, HArmonyCa and BOTOX Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA).
On October 22, Allergan Aesthetics' global medical affairs team will convene experts for the symposium, "Breakthrough Science in Aesthetics: New Frontiers in Clinical Outcomes and Care."
Dr. Mariola Galazka, Dr. Koenraad De Boulle and Dr. Mansi Mukherjee will discuss advances in neurotoxin science and innovation, long-term BOTOX Cosmetic evidence, and natural-looking outcomes achieved through the company's portfolio.
The session will also examine the role of multimodal aesthetic approaches and how emerging scientific evidence could expand treatment possibilities for specific patient groups.
