Indian Chemical News (ICN), in association with Indian Pharma Post (IPP), will host a session titled “Advancing Drug Efficacy and Stability through Novel Formulations for Pharma Industry” at the ChemPharma R&D Summit 2026 on October 28, 2026, at the Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport, Mumbai.
Industry professionals interested in attending the summit as delegates can register here.
The two-day summit, scheduled for October 27–28, 2026, will be held under the theme “Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Sustainability,” bringing together R&D heads, industry leaders, scientists from academia, policymakers, and technology experts to examine the evolving role of R&D in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
The panel will feature Dr. Rajendrakumar Kale, Technical Head/Director – Emerging Market (China Projects), Cipla; Dr. Dinesh Shinde, Lead – Formulations, Wockhardt; r. Rahul Rajmane, Director - Formulation Development & Business Development, Cipla Health; Dr. Mayur Sankalia, Senior Vice President – R&D, Invengene; and Jagadeesh Nadigoti, Lead – Formulations, Aurigene Pharmaceuticals. The session will be moderated by Rahul Koul, Editor, Indian Pharma Post.
The session will bring together formulation and R&D experts to explore how novel drug delivery systems and advanced formulation technologies can overcome persistent challenges in drug development. Approaches such as nanotechnology, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), amorphous solid dispersions, and smart biomaterials are opening new possibilities for improving drug solubility and bioavailability, enhancing product stability, enabling targeted delivery, and accelerating time-to-market.
Key discussion areas will include solubility enhancement, biologics stabilisation, and controlled- and sustained-release formulations; lipid nanoparticles, intracellular and targeted delivery, and alternative routes of administration; continuous manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and analytical characterisation; and regulatory considerations for novel excipients, intellectual property (IP) lifecycles, and the balance between development costs and therapeutic value.
The discussion will examine how pharmaceutical companies can translate formulation innovation into commercially viable products while addressing technical complexity, manufacturing scalability, regulatory requirements, and cost considerations. It will also highlight the role of advanced analytical tools and digital technologies in improving formulation development, product quality, and process consistency.
The summit is supported by Platinum Partner: Detox Corporation Private Limited (DCPL); Gold Partners: Aditya Birla Chemicals, BEIL UPL University, DCM Shriram Chemicals, and Revvity Signals; Associate Partner: Calibre Chemical; and Enterprise AI Partner: Sarthak AI.
The ChemPharma R&D Summit 2026 aims to provide a high-level platform for dialogue among government, industry, and academia on the future of research, development, and innovation.
Against a backdrop of rapid technological advances, evolving regulatory expectations, and geopolitical uncertainty, the summit will focus on strengthening R&D capabilities as a strategic driver of competitiveness, resilience, sustainability, and long-term value creation across the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
