The company will present 18 oral and poster presentations at the global Alzheimer’s research meeting

Roche is set to showcase its expanding Alzheimer’s disease pipeline at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2026 in London, highlighting advances in next-generation medicines, blood-based diagnostics and new approaches targeting neuroinflammation.

The company will present 18 oral and poster presentations at the global Alzheimer’s research meeting, taking place from 12-15 July, as it pushes forward efforts to slow, stop or potentially prevent disease progression.

Key highlights include a dedicated Featured Research Session on investigational Alzheimer’s medicine trontinemab, new insights into neuroimmune targets such as NLRP3, and data demonstrating the role of Roche’s Elecsys pTau217 and pTau181 blood tests in supporting earlier Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

“We aim to bring together advanced diagnostics and transformative medicines, with the goal of benefitting many Alzheimer's patients through earlier detection and intervention,” said Levi Garraway, Roche’s Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Product Development.

“Our presentations at AAIC will feature data from our expanding Alzheimer’s disease portfolio, including investigational trontinemab, neuroinflammatory approaches and blood-based diagnostics.”

Matt Sause, CEO of Roche Diagnostics, said the company’s latest diagnostic advances could help address a long-standing challenge in Alzheimer’s care: delayed and difficult diagnosis.

“With the approval of Elecsys pTau217, our third Alzheimer’s blood test, across both primary and secondary care, we are making timely and definitive diagnosis more accessible than ever before,” said Sause.

“For too long, this has been out of reach for the vast majority of patients. As a result, millions have been left without the answers, care and support they need. That is now changing, as blood-based testing transforms the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.”

Roche’s investigational therapy trontinemab will feature prominently at AAIC 2026, with a 90-minute Featured Research Session dedicated to the latest findings from the programme.

The session will include five oral presentations covering new long-term safety results, amyloid removal data and biomarker findings from the Phase Ib/IIa Brainshuttle AD open-label extension study.

Data from the study have helped shape the dosing strategy for the ongoing Phase III TRONTIER 1 and TRONTIER 2 studies, which are evaluating trontinemab in people with early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease.

Roche will also reveal the design of PrevenTRON, a planned Phase III study exploring whether trontinemab could benefit people in the preclinical stage of Alzheimer’s disease — before symptoms appear.
