Bengaluru-based medical technology company Ayati Devices has raised Rs. 15 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Inflexor Ventures, marking its first institutional investment.

The company will use the capital to accelerate the commercialisation of its next-generation diagnostic technologies, expand its domestic and international presence, strengthen manufacturing capabilities, and increase investments in research, regulatory approvals, artificial intelligence and global talent.

Incubated at IITB-SINE under the institute’s translational research programme, Ayati Devices develops precision diagnostic solutions for diabetic foot complications and peripheral vascular disease.

Founded by Nishant Kathpal, the company focuses on making advanced diagnostics portable, affordable and accessible beyond tertiary hospitals, including primary care centres and diabetes clinics.

The funding comes as India’s medical devices sector continues to expand, while diabetes remains a major global healthcare challenge. Ayati said more than 90 million Indians live with diabetes and that over 50,000 lower-limb amputations occur in the country each year, with many potentially preventable through timely diagnosis.

Ayati’s portfolio covers the diabetic foot diagnostic pathway. Its Vibrasense platform enables clinician-independent neuropathy screening in under five minutes, while Vibrasense+T provides assessment of large- and small-fibre nerves.

Vasosense enables peripheral artery disease detection in around two minutes without requiring a specialist. Angiocam provides real-time tissue perfusion imaging through a portable platform, while the PODIA Trolley offers a pay-per-test screening model without upfront capital investment.

The company’s technologies have received regulatory clearances across major markets, including CDSCO in India, the U.S. FDA and CE Mark in Europe, along with approvals in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and the UAE. Ayati has deployed more than 10,000 devices across over 30 countries and has built an international distributor network, with clinical deployments at institutions including Medicover Hospital and Aster Hospital.

The company estimates its addressable market at around USD 15 billion globally and USD 1.4 billion in India, spanning diabetic neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and tissue perfusion imaging. Its technologies also have applications in plastic surgery, wound care, burn management, cardiovascular diagnostics and reconstructive medicine.

Nishant Kathpal, Founder & CEO, Ayati Devices, said, “At Ayati, we have focused on building technologies that make advanced diagnostics objective, affordable, and accessible beyond tertiary hospitals - right from primary care clinics to community screening programs. This investment marks an important milestone in our journey. It will accelerate our product roadmap, strengthen our global presence, and help us reach millions of patients before complications become irreversible.”

Pratip Mazumdar, Partner, Inflexor Ventures, said, “The scale of the opportunity is as large as the unmet need. Ayati's multi-product platform, proprietary hardware-software integration, and growing IP portfolio give it the moat to become the global standard of care in non-invasive vascular and neurological diagnostics.”
