Catalent and consumer health company Mantra have signed a commercial supply agreement to bring Mantra’s single-serve over-the-counter (OTC) oral gel products closer to market, targeting everyday relief for occasional sleeplessness, pain and menstrual discomfort.
Under the agreement, Catalent will provide formulation development, commercial manufacturing and packaging services at its facility in St. Petersburg, Florida, supporting the commercialisation of Mantra’s oral gel product portfolio.
The partnership marks a new milestone for Catalent, which will manufacture its first OTC unit-dose gel technology as it expands its support for consumer health innovators.
“At Catalent, our priority is to support innovators with the expertise, scale and speed to bring self-care products to market,” said Aris Gennadios, Group President, Pharma and Consumer Health at Catalent. “This is the first OTC unit-dose gel technology manufactured by Catalent, and we are proud to support the commercialization of Mantra’s portfolio.”
Mantra’s products use portable, single-serve pouches designed to deliver precise, pre-measured doses without water. The format offers an alternative to conventional tablets, capsules and syrups, with the aim of making everyday self-care more convenient and accessible.
The products also feature formulations free from artificial dyes, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners and preservatives, positioning the platform around convenience and ingredient-conscious consumer preferences.
By combining Mantra’s oral gel technology with Catalent’s development capabilities, quality systems and scalable manufacturing infrastructure, the agreement is designed to support the transition from product development to commercial supply.
“Consumers have changed the way they think about nearly every category of health and wellness, but the way we take everyday medicine has remained largely unchanged,” said Simon More, CEO and Founder of Mantra.
"We built Mantra to rethink that experience through a modern format, clean formulations and a more convenient approach to everyday relief. Partnering with Catalent gives us the development expertise, manufacturing capabilities and scale to bring that vision to market.”
The agreement underscores Catalent’s strategy of supporting emerging self-care brands with integrated development, manufacturing and packaging services. For Mantra, the partnership provides access to established manufacturing capabilities and the infrastructure needed to scale its oral gel platform for commercial markets.
The collaboration brings together Mantra’s alternative delivery format and Catalent’s contract development and manufacturing expertise, with both companies focused on expanding consumer options for everyday health and wellness.
