Collaboration to drive diagnostics exports, tap high-growth regional markets and build scalable commercialization platform
Huwel Lifesciences and Avio Smart Market Stack Limited have kicked off their international expansion strategy by onboarding a Singapore-based commercialization partner to drive market access across Southeast Asia, marking a significant push into high-growth healthcare markets.
The collaboration will focus on building a scalable export platform across key countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Southeast Asia is increasingly emerging as a major healthcare opportunity zone, supported by large populations, accelerating urbanisation, expanding medical tourism and a stronger focus on infectious disease management and public health preparedness.
Governments across the region are also stepping up investments in screening infrastructure, lab modernisation and decentralised diagnostics.
Under the partnership, ASMS will spearhead commercial execution, including sales strategy, channel partnerships and regional rollout, while Huwel Lifesciences will drive technology development, manufacturing, regulatory support and product innovation.
The expansion will be anchored by Quantiplus, Huwel’s flagship molecular diagnostics platform, positioned for affordability and scalability across institutional and public health settings in cost-sensitive markets.
N. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director at ASMS, said the collaboration represents a key step in building the company’s healthtech vertical as a long-term growth engine, leveraging its strengths in market development to create a robust commercialization ecosystem for Huwel’s innovations.
Following the initial rollout, the companies plan to introduce additional solutions from Huwel’s diagnostics portfolio, including portable testing platforms, decentralised molecular systems and rapid screening technologies tailored to regional needs.
