Univar Solutions, a global leader in specialty ingredients and chemicals, announced that its Ingredients + Specialties division will become a distributor for Ingredion Pharma Solutions, part of Ingredion Incorporated.
The agreement grants Univar exclusive rights to distribute Ingredion’s pharmaceutical starches in the United States and Canada, expanding its portfolio of functional excipients for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications.
The partnership enables Univar to offer a broad range of ingredients, including direct compression and wet granulation binders, tablet and capsule fillers, superdisintegrants, lubricants, emulsions for encapsulation, and gelatin alternatives for vegetarian softgel formulations.

Ingredion Pharma Solutions produces functional ingredients designed to improve formulation performance and tackle technical challenges in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. Under the new deal, Univar will distribute Ingredion’s pharma portfolio, including UNI-PURE F, UNI-PURE FL, UNI-PURE GA, and UNI-PURE WG-220 starch-based excipients.
