New plant expands purification resin capacity and integrates research, development and engineering capabilities to serve growing global demand

Ecolab Life Sciences, a division of Ecolab Inc. (NYSE: ECL), has opened a new resin manufacturing facility in Quzhou, China, expanding its production capacity for advanced separation, purification and recovery solutions.

The investment strengthens Ecolab’s global manufacturing network and reflects its continued focus on expanding the Life Sciences business. The facility began its first customer shipments in July and was formally inaugurated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by members of Ecolab’s executive leadership team.

The Quzhou site combines expanded resin manufacturing capacity with a co-located research, development and engineering (RD&E) centre, bringing together teams from Ecolab’s Deqing and Quzhou facilities.

The plant manufactures resins used in industrial, environmental and infrastructure applications, supporting improved process efficiency and shorter manufacturing lead times.

“As the world's most essential industries grow, so does the need for more advanced purification solutions,” said Christophe Beck, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ecolab. “Our investment in Quzhou allows us to innovate alongside our customers, support their growth and help them achieve high performance while using fewer natural resources.”

Hayley Crowe, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Global Life Sciences, Ecolab, said the facility would strengthen the company’s position as a global supplier of advanced purification technologies by improving its ability to serve high-growth markets and critical customer applications.

“By bringing manufacturing and RD&E closer together, we can accelerate innovation, respond more quickly to growing demand and harness expertise of our talented teams to deliver the quality, reliability, and technical excellence customers expect from Ecolab,” Crowe said.

Christina Kong, Greater China Market Lead, Ecolab, said China remained an important market for advanced manufacturing and that the Quzhou facility would strengthen Ecolab’s ability to serve customers locally while connecting them to its global capabilities and supply network.

The investment comes amid growing industrial demand for solutions that support water stewardship, circular resource management, regulatory compliance and more resilient supply chains while reducing the use of water and other natural resources.
