The medical-grade Angelas diode laser calibrated at a 1470 nm wavelength supports microsurgeries across multiple specialties
Even Hospital, a Bengaluru-based multi-speciality hospital, has collaborated with surgical-tech firm Canara Surgicals to introduce laser technology-based medical devices aimed at enabling minimally invasive surgeries across multiple specialties.
As part of the long-term collaboration focused on surgical equipment supply and deployment, Canara Surgicals has deployed its medical-grade Angelas diode laser, calibrated at a 1470 nm wavelength, at Even Hospital’s facility on Race Course Road in Bengaluru.
The device supports procedures such as endovenous ablation for varicose veins, haemorrhoidectomy for piles treatment, and percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) for spinal conditions, among other microsurgeries.
Animesh Roy, CEO, Even Hospital, said, “By integrating laser-enabled minimally invasive procedures across specialties, we are able to offer patients treatments that are not only clinically effective, but also far less disruptive to their everyday lives enabling faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and a significantly better overall care experience.”
Shreyas S. Naik, Director, Canara Surgicals said, “Our focus has always been on enabling better clinical outcomes with the right technology. Canara Surgicals’ latest partnership with Even Hospital marks another pivotal step in that direction, reflecting our shared vision of fast-tracking and improving patient outcomes and elevating care, while parallely reducing the emotional and financial burden associated with surgeries and long hospital stays.
